There exist thousands of books on the Law of Attraction nowadays and it can be really challenging and overwhelming to discern among all those books the ones who are actually worth reading.
Misinformation can be even more damaging than ignorance so reading “the wrong books” can cloud your perception and impress upon your subconscious the wrong ideas, resulting in holding you back instead of pushing you forward. We always have to be careful of what we are putting inside our brains.
Inside this article, I am going to reveal to you the 7 best books on the Law of Attraction which truly stood out and made a difference in my life by making me aware of the manifesting power of my own thinking and how to start controlling and adjusting it towards changing the course of my entire life.
I will start backward, counting from 7 to 1, number 1 being my favorite Law of attraction book of all time and my ultimate recommendation for every single Law of Attraction seeker.
Let us begin!
The Best Law of Attraction Books
#7 – The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne
The Secret is one of the longest running best sellers of the century and one of the books that most people would enjoy reading even just for fun.
Through many testimonials of modern practitioners, teachers, and mystics, it greatly raises people’s awareness of their innate power to change their reality by changing their way of thinking and behaving.
The Secret fits the needs of the modern society whereas people are extremely unaware of how their state of mind is that which is constantly working towards bringing about all kinds of experiences.
In this book, the Law of Attraction is simplified for the common man to grasp, and that’s why the Secret makes a very good choice for people who have no previous experience with it.
However, the purpose of the Secret is mainly informative.
Despite the fact that there is so much condensed knowledge inside this book, it does not quite go into practices and exercises to start mastering the Law of Attraction but merely informs us about its modus operandi.
If you are just beginning with the Law of Attraction, then this book is a must-read.
See the things that you want as already yours. Know that they will come to you at need. Then let them come. Don’t fret and worry about them. Don’t think about your lack of them. Think of them as yours, as belonging to you, as already in your possession.~The Secret
#6 – Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao, by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
The Tao Te Ching was a text written in ancient China by an enlightened being called Lao Tzu, 500 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.
Lao Tzu was talking about the Tao(the Way), which is a way of living in accordance with nature.
Since we have all emerged from nature, and we were built in the image of nature, to live a truly happy, peaceful, and abundant life, we have to live our life imitating nature’s ways.
Dr. Wayne Dyer had studied hundreds of the Tao Te Ching’s translations which have been written over the years, and eventually composed the Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life as one of its most accurate translations available nowadays.
Each chapter begins with a translation of a Tao Te Ching’s verse, it is followed by an extensive explanation based on Dr. Dyer’s perspective and ends with a section called “Do the Tao Now” whereas Dr. Dyer offers us exercises to practice to start aligning our ways with those of nature.
A tree that fills a man’s embrace grows from a seedling.
A tower nine stories high starts with one brick.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.~Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao
#5 – The Kybalion, by The Three Initiates
The Kybalion is an aggregation of very ancient knowledge which is believed that it was handed down to human beings by a god, Hermes Trismegistus.
Hermes Trismegistus may have been a representation of the Greek god Hermes(Mercury) or the Egyptian god Thoth, and it is widely believed that he was the god of writing, magic, wisdom, astrology, alchemy, the messenger of gods and the link between mortality and immortality.
In this book, it is supported that the entire Universe is working according to 7 specific laws which the three initiates are calling “The Seven Hermetic Principles”.
- The Principle of Mentalism
- The Principle of Correspondence
- The Principle of Vibration
- The Principle of Polarity
- The Principle of Rhythm
- The Principle of Cause and Effect(The Law of Attraction)
- The Principle of Gender
The one who has a hold of those laws and knows how to use them is holding his fate into his own hands and has broken free from outside influences since he can determine the outside by adjusting the inside.
The only setback of this book is that it is written in such a way that the one who is supposed to understand its infinite wisdom, will understand it, and the one who is not supposed to understand it, will not understand it. It is written for the “chosen ones”, the ones who are ready to understand and apply every single Principle taught inside.
In this little work, we have endeavored to give you an idea of the fundamental teachings of The Kybalion, striving to give you the working Principles, leaving you to apply them yourselves, rather than attempting to work out the teaching in detail. If you are a true student, you will be able to work out and apply these Principles — if not, then you must develop Yourself into one, for otherwise, the Hermetic Teachings will be as “words, words, words” to you.~The Kybalion
This book is holding very powerful knowledge within it, but it is definitely NOT recommended for beginners.

#3 – As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen
This book looks like a giant poem.
James Allen describes the process whereas your thoughts determine your reality, using words and phrases which strike your mind.
Lilly L. Allen, James’ wife, states that this book is alive because it is written from the heart and thus can never fail on its mission, which is to teach every man and woman that through regulating their thoughts, they can decide what they will be experiencing in life.
James compares acts with plants in the extent that just like a plant cannot exist without a seed, an act cannot exist without a thought.
Just like every plant offers us fruit, so the fruits of our acts are our experiences.
Every thought-seed sowed or allowed to fall into the mind, and to take root there, produces its own, blossoming sooner or later into an act, and bearing its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstance.~As a Man Thinketh
The last half part of the book is called “Morning and Evening Thoughts” and is composed of small paragraphs filling your mind with immense amounts of wisdom and power each morning when you wake up and each evening before you go to sleep, for thirty days.
#2 – The Power of Awareness, by Neville Goddard
In his book The Power of Awareness, Neville Goddard teaches us how to use the power of our conscious awareness to direct our thinking and induce our imagination in ways that will leave us no choice but become who we want to be.
He supports that if you are able to imagine who you want to be, focus your attention on this image for long enough, and start feeling as you would feel if you already were who you want to become, you would hurry without haste and reach your goal with least action.
In every chapter of this book, hell, in every paragraph of this book, Neville states the same thing, over and over again, but using different words.
At the beginning, I felt a bit irritated, but as I kept reading I realized the intelligence behind this repetition…
Repetition is the key to subconscious programming and what Neville tries to achieve with his book is to bombard our subconscious with the same idea, over and over again, until it becomes a fact; he is using what he is teaching while we are reading his book.
You are either a slave to your assumptions or their master. To become the master of your assumptions is the key to undreamed-of freedom and happiness.~The Power of Awareness
1# The Master Key System, by Charles F. Haanel
To tell you the truth, there exist parts of this book that I don’t fully understand, and there are parts of this book that make my jaw drop…
This book is not meant to be read at once, but rather used as an enormous course where by the end of it, you will have understood the correlation between your conscious and subconscious mind, your subconscious mind and your experiences, as well as how to use your conscious mind towards molding your subconscious mind in order to start experiencing the kind of reality that you desire.
Charles states that everything experienced has first been thought of the one who experiences it; thoughts are the causes and experiences are the effects of those thoughts, and to change every effect you first have to change its cause.
Fortunately, at the end of each chapter, Charles closes with an exercise which we are supposed to practice for a couple of weeks before moving on the next chapter.
This book is the best book on the Law of Attraction I have read so far!
The student who learns that power comes from within, and who unhesitatingly throws himself on his own thought, instantly rights himself, stands erect, assumes a dominant attitude, and works miracles. The attitude of mind depends upon what we think. Therefore, the secret of all power, all achievement, and all possession depends upon our method of thinking. This is true because we must “be” before we can “do,” and we can “do” only to the extent which we “are,” and what we “are” depends upon what we “think.”~The Master Key System
If you are just beginning with the Law of Attraction, the book to start with would be The Secret. This book will lay the foundation for your greatest masterpiece; yourself!

It is not possible to read a book and stay the same. Make sure that what you read resonates with who you want to become because what you are putting in your mind right now shapes who you are going to be tomorrow.
